This is the stage adaptation of the true story of the world’s worst opera singer: Florence Foster Jenkins. In 1940s New York, she was the performer that everyone who was anyone wanted to see live. An enthusiastic and endearing soprano whose pitch was far from perfect. This story is both heart-warming and hilarious.

Holiday Inn (known as the ‘new Irving Berlin musical’) is based on the Paramount Pictures 1942 film of the same name. The libretto is by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. The musical opened on Broadway in 2016 with great songs such as White Christmas, Cheek to Cheek, and Easter Parade.

In the year which commemorates the centenary of the World War I Armistice, Therry presents this landmark in Australian theatre. Anzac Day is the catalyst for exploring generational and class conflicts in the changing Australian social landscape of the 1950s.

You don’t have to be a member to enjoy Therry’s wonderful range of productions, but there’s great benefits in doing so.

For each of our four productions, Therry has a two-week season in The Arts Theatre, 53 Angas Street, Adelaide.

Previews (great value) are on Wednesday evenings at 8 pm.

All productions then have nine performances: Thursday to Saturday at 8 pm and Wednesday to Saturday the following week at 8 pm with matinees on both Saturdays at 2 pm.

Generally, bookings for each production open on the Monday two and a half weeks prior to opening night.
